The original, then Harvest Moon, A Wonderful Life is one of my favourite childhood games. I still have the notebook filled with scribbles as I tried to figure out the seed hybrid combinations. Reviewing the remake for Eurogamer was a joy, especially since the game was a faithful adaption of the original while also being an improvement. (And it made me sad in places - always a win.)

Solving the Sphinx's riddles is one of my favourite parts of Dragon's Dogma 2. Guiding it was also enjoyable, with the piece not only covering the riddle solutions but how to actually find the Sphinx. (In both of her locations.)

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was one of the biggest releases in 2023 and I was lucky enough to preview the game for Eurogamer. Within this piece, I touch upon my thoughts about the mechanics, the world design and how puzzles are implemented into said design.

As someone who's been playing RuneScape for more than half of their life, I've watched the game develop, spin off into Old School version and develop even more. As a member of the queer community, watching the game's introduction of LGBTQIA+ characters has been an exciting experience. I still find it a bit strange to see myself represented in any form of media. Written for Eurogamer's 2022 Pride Week, this piece explores the Tales of Pride event in RuneScape 3 and its queer characters alongside touching my personal experiences.

Outside of video games and strange fiction, I enjoyed writing about my other interests. In this case it was anime since I was able to attend the Pokémon Horizons preview for Eurogamer. This piece not only touches on my thoughts for the new series, but looks at how the narrative structure for the previous (long) Pokémon anime let it down and some fun facts about the Pokémon Adventures manga.

As Guides Editor, I am responsible for planning Eurogamer's guides coverage for major titles like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Starfield, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, instalments in the Pokémon series and much more. This link is to Eurogamer's walkthrough hub for Tears of the Kingdom. I'm proud of the guides team coverage in this case, because, despite lacking early access, we succeeded in creating a vast array guides. Ones I personally wrote including the Shrine locations, Dragon Tears locations, the Grand Sky Island and Spirit Temple sections of the main walkthrough.

I'm in charge of Eurogamer's Pokémon Go guides coverage, including covering live events, new features and regular updates. One of my favourite Pokémon Go pages to update is the 'Rarest Pokémon' guide since it gives me the chance to evaluate part of the game I rarely get it touch and, I'll happily admit, is just fun to write. (Also because I'm oddly proud of the image I made for the Kecleon section.)

Palworld dominated the world of video games in January 2024. Within this guide, I walk players through the process of setting up their own dedicated Steam server for the game. It's rare that I get to write technical guides like this, but the challenge is always welcome.

As a fan of visual novels, A Summer's End - Hong Kong 1986 is an absolute treat. It's a beautiful tale about two women falling in love during the uncertainty of the city's political sovereignty lovingly crafted by Oracle and Bone. This piece includes an interview with the developers Charissa So and Tida Kietsungden.

Alongside being a journalist, I'm also a published fiction author. 'Headfirst' follows Michael and his attempts to confront the monsters living under his bed. It was published on 'The Ogilvie,' which is a creative review website based in Edinburgh.
